Clinical Care 
Resources provides access into clinical information and services available to optometric professionals. 

Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) provides key materials related to accreditation and news updates on new ACOE actions, processes and fees.

Opthalmic Standards view a listing of current ANSI and ASTM opthalmic standards.

Optometric Clinical Practice Guidelines (OCPGs) reviews recommended patient care backed by scientific research and export opinion in diagnosis, management and treatment of patients. 

The Quick Reference Guides (QRG) may be used:

 

  • To review the clinical classification, evaluation, and management of patients with the conditions covered by the Guidelines;

  • As a resource for communicating with other health care providers to enhance patient consultation and comanagement services;

  • To inform governmental agencies, insurance companies and other third party entities about the scope and nature of optometric services.

 

HIPAA Compliance Information offers professionals overviews of rules and limitations mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
